Fowey
Fowey

The little town of Fowey on the estuary of the river with the same name is firmly adjoined with the writer Daphne du Maurier. She lived here, and a few miles outside lies Menabilly, the estate that inspired her for Manderley in the novel "Rebecca".

There is a Daphne du Maurier Museum, and every year in May the Daphne du Maurier festival.
