The Peak District ist also famous for the "Derbyshire Dales", and the best known of it is Dove Dale in the South, where the river Dove forms the border between Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

As long as the water isn't too high it is possible to cross the river on the "stepping stones", which is simply a line of stones in adequate distances for pedestrians.
