Even further east lies Looe, also on the river of the same name, which is tidal. It also separates the town into two halves, which are connected by only one bridge. Looe is in Cornish dimensions a somewhat bigger town, with all the conveniences, but at the same time has still the character of a little fishing village.
Looe is also the setting for the town of Shipton Abbott in the TV series "Beyond Paradise". And, for some strange reason, it has been placed into Devon.
