Padstow is one of the best known towns in Cornwall, it attracts lots of tourists. This is only partly caused by the harbour, which makes up the town centre. The most important point is that the famous TV chef Rick Stein has settled down here. His seafood restaurant is world-famous, and now there is a deli shop, a fish and chips place, a café, a gift shop and, and, and....Rick Stein is dominating Padstow so much that it is nicknamed Padstein now.
Real traditions like the 'Obby 'Oss (Hobby Horse) Festival are mainly known only by the locals.
