In the Domgarten in front of the "Heidentuermchen" (little pagan tower) there is a performance about the life of St. Martin, after that a big bonfire is lit. For safety reasons the Fire Fighters and the Technical Relief Organgisation (THW) are guarding the event. You can tell by the smooth running of this event that this is a year-long trained team.
The St. Martin's Parade is of all events probably the one with the most local character, as there seem to be solely locals taking part.
