On the Monday before the 1st of Advent the Christmasmarket starts again in front of the old mint. Each weekend there are representatives from twinned towns of Speyer, and they are offering goods from their home.
With the 1st of Advent starts the new church year. It is always greeted on the Saturday before at 5 pm with the full bell ringing in Speyer. This means that all churches in Speyer ring their bells together.
