The Lauergasse off the Fish Market is a place to experience the flair of the Old Town without the tourist masses. A stroll towards the "Halbes Dach" (half roof) and the side streets are definitely worth it.
In the Lauergasse the local Brezel baker is located, who sells its stuff in the little glass houses in town, supplying them from here. For some strange reason Speyer calls the Brezel its very own bake, but there is no historic relevance to it.
